Vector Brewing is looking for talented cooks to feed our hungry guests with dynamic pizzas and salads that are as memorable on the plate as in the belly.

JOB Brief

We’re looking for professional line cooks and pizza cooks to prepare food to our chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the chef with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook or prep cook

  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures

  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks

Essential Duties

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies

  • Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)

  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions

  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food

  • Stock inventory appropriately

  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

  • Comply with sanitation regulations and safety standards

  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Bonus Points

Previous experience working at other breweries or taprooms, love of pizza, a whiz with dough

FRONT OF HOUSE

Be the hero.

We have both an indoor taproom and a 2,300 square foot patio that could be completely covered in hungry and thirsty diners at any given time.

JOB Brief

Sometimes you’ll bus. Sometimes you’ll run food and drinks. Sometimes you’ll tend bar. We rotate positions to keep things interesting.

We’re an order-at-the-table-via-QR-code and counter service hybrid.

Requirements

  • TABC Seller/Server Certification

  • Texas Food Handlers Certification

  • Treats everyone with respect to create a positive and healthy workplace

  • A positive, friendly attitude

  • Flexibility to work lunch (Fri, Sat, Sun) and evenings (we close at 10pm, 8pm on Sun)

  • 18+ years of age or older

Essential Duties

  • Stand for extended periods of time, 4-5 hours continuously and up to a total of 10 hours a shift

  • Frequently lift pizzas and drinks

  • Assist with clearing empty glassware and bussing tables after delivering food - Full hands in, full hands out

  • Dodge patrons, both adults and children

  • Work in a fast-paced and at times very busy, time sensitive environment

Bonus Points

Previous experience running food, interest in beer and eagerness to learn, love of pizza, can carry multiple plates of food at once, eyes in the back of your head, you can work Sundays
